Backyard * *done* - snip out more phlox * *done* - remove most of the plants growing in the concrete seams. * *done* - take down or move the hopper feeder. * *done* - mow backyard * *done* - Turn over the soil in the old swamp milkweed bed that was used last year for a small garden. * *done* - cut down a portion of the Oak Openings natives flower bed, mainly the western edge that is dominated by goldenrod and wood aster. * *done* - dig up the western edge of the OO natives bed and remove plants. prepare it for a garden. * *done* - dig up the lawn near the western edge of the OO natives bed and remove grass. prepare it for a garden. * *done* - when digging up the small depression area to be included in the new garden area, add sand and possibly new top soil to build up the depression. see if we have a bag of sand in the garage. if not, buy a bag of sand and a bag of soil from Black Diamond. ** *done* - purchased two bags of Bumper Crop topsoil to be used in the depression area. Black Diamond was sold out of sand.
