h1. Douglas Road replacement work 2015-2016

The city will be undertaking a nearly year-long project to replace water mains under Douglas Road between Sylvania Ave. and Laskey. Work is expected to begin later this month or the first of September. The pipe replacements will coincide with planned widening and resurfacing of Douglas next spring, thus the year-long venture.
 
City officials say traffic will be maintained so as not to affect businesses and residents along Douglas. That roadway has been in need of resurfacing for some time. I indulge your patience. It'll be worth it once the pipe and road work is completed.
