2:30 a.m. when? The story was posted on Saturday, June 4. I assume that the 2:30 referred to Saturday morning. 

For those who might read this story at a later date, which is possible, since the story exists on the web, then maybe the story should have been written as: "Police said that they received a call around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016."

From the story, I assume that one unarmed man chased three men who carried machetes. Umkay.

I have no idea what this part of the story is trying to say. This is allegedly a quote from _"Battalion Chief Bryce Blair"_ who said:

What? According to the punctuation, that was two alleged sentences, despite the lack of capitalization. 

I know that it is this time of the year. Regardless of the calendar date, it is _always_ this time of the year at that moment.

More from Blair's alleged quote. I'm thinking that Blair is some kind of poet who speaks in lowercase letters.

Maybe this is one of those news stories that was created by a computer program and not a human. Maybe the story contains video/audio, which does not appear in my browser setup.
