...special weather statement for hancock...lucas and wood counties
until 400 pm edt...

at 304 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar was tracking
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 43 miles north of
oregon to 14 miles west of deshler...moving northeast at 50 mph.
ahead of this line of thunderstorms south winds are gusting near 55
mph. similar gusts can be expected with the arrival of the
thunderstorms. after the initial line of thunderstorms pass...wind
gusts are expected to diminish some.

this hazardous weather outlook is for lake erie...north central
ohio and northwest ohio.

.day one...today and tonight.

thunderstorms are likely late this afternoon and evening. some of
the storms may produce damaging winds and large hail...and an
isolated tornado is also possible.

gusty southerly winds will occur today into tonight. a few of the
gusts may reach 40 to 45 mph at times.

.days two through seven...friday through wednesday.

gusty west to southwest winds with gusts of 40 to 45 mph will be
possible friday.

tonight: thunderstorms likely this evening...then showers and thunderstorms after midnight. some thunderstorms may produce damaging winds this evening. breezy with lows in the mid 40s. southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. chance of rain near 100 percent.

friday: showers and thunderstorms. windy and much cooler with highs in the lower 50s. temperature falling into the mid 40s in the afternoon. southwest winds 15 to 25 mph...increasing to 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. gusts up to 45 mph. chance of rain near 100 percent.

friday night: mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of rain showers. breezy and much colder with lows in the lower 30s. west winds 15 to 25 mph. gusts up to 40 mph in the evening.

saturday: mostly sunny. highs in the upper 40s. west winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

saturday night: mostly clear. cold with lows around 30. northwest winds 5 to 10 mph...becoming northeast after midnight.

sunday: sunny. highs in the lower 50s.
