ToledoWX Weather Web App Proposed Changes - June 2014

Here's the Lucas County Zone XML file used by three scripts within ToledoWX.

I did not realize that the NWS also produces a JSON version.

Nice. And it's functioning better than the XML file. For some reason, the XML file stopped including the "hazardous weather outlook" text for an XML attribute, and it's causing issues with my XML parsing script.

Update Wed afternoon, Jun 18, 2014.

Neither the NWS XML file nor its JSON contain info about the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lucas County.

The JSON file contains info for "Severe Thunderstorm Watch", "Hazardous Weather Outlook", "Short Term Forecast"

The XML file only contains info for the Short Term Forecast.

The NWS must post the warning info elsewhere. Government.

This XML file contains the severe thunderstorm warning info:

Only Lucas County - http://alerts.weather.gov/cap/wwaatmget.php?x=OHC095&y=0

#todo look into switching to the JSON file.
