Sun, Jan 25, 2015 weather notes

I think that a 1/2-inch of snow fell over West Toledo today. Maybe 3/4-inch if I used a fisherman's ruler.

It snowed longer over southwest Lucas County, so I'm assuming that TOL recorded a bit more snow today.

The weather will remain chilly for at least the next 10 days. We might get a couple inches of snow on Thu, Jan 29. Temps could be sub-zero on Groundhogs Day.

For this time of the year, the normal Hi-Lo temps for TOL are 33 and 18.

Excerpts from the 3:50 p.m., Sun, Jan 25, 2015 area forecast discussion:

Thu, Jan 29:

precipitation to develop along the warm frontal boundary and could possibly start out as some freezing rain in the morning thursday and then rain and snow across the south in the afternoon with snow elsewhere. as the low moves east of the area...precipitation will change over to all snow.

For the start of February:

some of the coldest temperatures for the season are possible by sunday night.
