Our morning low on Friday is still forecast to be below zero, which would break the record low for March 6 set in 1901.

The warming trend starts on Saturday, although you may not notice it until Monday. Our temps may be close to 50 degrees next Wednesday and Thursday, March 11-12.

We are forecast to have sunny weather from Sunday through at least Thursday, so it will feel warmer. We could give the heavy winter coats a break.

No major rainstorms are expected. It should be a gradual snow melt. With 6 to 8 inches of dense snow cover, it will be sloppy.

The NWS still cautions about the formation of ice jams on rivers and streams.

Morning lows next week are forecast to be below freezing on most days.

The month of March, daytime temps in the 40s and nighttime temps in the 20s, I think that's a good time for collecting sap from maple trees to make syrup.

Toledo's normal high temps for the second week of March range from 43 to 46 degrees with normal low temps ranging from 26 to 28 degrees. Above normal temps are expected to continue through at at least Saturday, March 14.
