Arizona choose D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida.

10:41 p.m.

With the no. 23 pick, Denver selected Shane Ray, OLB from Missouri.

10:35 p.m.

Det was suppose to pick at no. 23, but Den moved up.

Pitt choose Bud Dupree, OLB from Kentucky.

10:27 p.m.

Cincy choose Cedric Ogbuehi, OT from Texas A&M.

10:25 p.m.

Next several picks involve regional or divisional teams.

21 Cincinnati
22 Pittsburgh
23 Detroit
24 Arizona
25 Carolina
26 Baltimore

10:23 p.m.

With the no. 20 pick, the Eagles choose Nelson Agholor, the WR from USC.

10:22 p.m.

The Browns next pick will be in the 2nd round with the no. 43 pick overall. Will Cle take a WR with that pick or a WR later?

10:21 p.m.

If Gilbert can at least be a consistent performer on passing downs, that would be a nice addition to the Browns defense.

10:19 p.m.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/rounds

What he brings: Erving excelled at center after moving over from left tackle midway through the 2014 season. He's a great athlete for the center position with his length and quickness, and his versatility to play multiple spots along the line is a huge asset. He's a good run-blocker but even better in pass protection.

10:16 p.m.

Cleveland media conference call with Shelton, airing on WKNR.

Shelton is Polynesian.

10:14 p.m.

Commish announced that the Browns with the no. 19 pick selected Cameron Erving, C, Florida St.

The Browns did not move in the first round. Two picks. Cle remained calm and choose the best players to fill their obvious needs.

The beat down by Cincy in Cleveland in December is the reason for choosing o-line and d-line in the first round.

10:09 p.m.

Hammer said reports exist that the Browns will choose an o-lineman.

Grossi said it will be Cameron Erving, the center from Florida St. He can play multiple o-line positions.

The Browns got banged up on the o-line last year. Cle suffered when center Mack got injured and missed the rest of the season.

If the Browns pick Erving, this ads depth to the o-line. Good, solid move.

Grossi said that Erving will compete at one of the guard positions, and then backup Mack at center.

Hammer keeps reminding everyone that in 2014, Cle was 27th in the league in points scored. Well, maybe shoring up the o-line and d-line will improve the running game and protect the QB to help the passing game and get the defense off the field sooner for better field position for the offense.

Browns may think offense tomorrow night when the 2nd and 3rd rounds will occur.

10:08 p.m.

Casey announced that the Browns pick is already in.

WR? Another d-lineman? O-lineman?

10:07 p.m.

KC selected Marcus Peters, the CB from Washington.

10:00 p.m.

49ers selected Arik Armstead, the DE from Oregon.

KC is next with the no. 18 pick and then Cle again. Will the Browns trade down?

9:58 p.m.

KNR gang would not be happy if the Browns choose Breshad Perriman, the WR from UCF.

The book on Perriman: He has world-class speed, but he dropped a lot of passes while playing at a Florida school. As Grossi said earlier today, he drops passes in Florida, what happens when he plays in November and December in the AFC North?

9:55 p.m.

Houston with the no. 16 pick selected Kevin Johnson, the CB from Wake Forest.

9:48 p.m.

With the no. 15 pick, the Chargers selected RB Melvin Gordon from WI.

San Fran had the no 15 pick, but the Chargers traded up with the 49ers. SD had the no. 17 pick.

Rivers at QB, Gordon at RB. The Chargers want to challenge the Broncos for the AFC West division crown this year and next. Now.

9:47 p.m.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/rounds

Danny Shelton:

What he brings: He's a prototypical two-gap nose tackle with a thick frame and excellent power. He commands double teams and makes plays against the run, and is an improving pass-rusher who can push the pocket and is light on his feet for a 339-pound nose tackle. He plays with an edge and good effort and stamina for a guy his size.

How he fits: Shelton adds size and depth to the interior defensive line and is arguably the best run-stopping defensive lineman in this class. He is insurance for DT Phil Taylor, who is coming off of knee surgery and entering a contract year. Shelton is a quality fit in defensive coordinator Jim O'Neil's hybrid scheme and should immediately help a Browns run defense that allowed a league-high 141.6 yards per game.

9:43 p.m.

Dolphins selected DeVante Parker, the WR from Louisville.

Rizzo reminded everyone that the Browns passed several years ago on Julio Jones who has played well for Atlanta. Last year, Cle passed on Watkins and Beckham. I don't think that Evans was available at no. 4 last year.

9:38 p.m.

It's expected that the Dolphins will choose Parker, the WR from Louisville.

Will the Browns try to move up from 19 for anyone? A little while ago, the KNR gang said the Browns were trying to move down from 19, but no takers.

9:35 p.m.

Saints choose Andrus Peat the OT from Stanford.

9:34 p.m.

Next picks:

13 New Orleans
14 Miami
15 San Francisco
16 Houston
17 San Diego
18 Kansas City
19 Cleveland (from Buf)

9:29 p.m.

Apparently on TV, Shelton held up the new Browns jersey(s).

And then Shelton picked up commish Goodell. A belly-to-belly pro wrestling move. Bear hug. Rizzo laughed.

9:27 p.m.

Commish announced that the Browns selected Shelton. Solid pick.

The Browns let the draft come to them for their no. 12 pick. Nice.

Jerod loves the pick. Grossi is happy. Hammer is snarky.

Hammer said it was a safe pick. Jerod said it was a smart pick. Browns needed this. Good move by Farmer. Be patient.

9:24 p.m.

WKNR gang thinks it will be Shelton based upon chatter.

Two first round picks, and it would be nice if one was a d-lineman and the other was a wide receiver.

In 2014, I think that the Browns were last in the league in stopping the run.

If it's Shelton, the general thinking is that he's the second best defensive lineman in the draft.

9:20 p.m.

Surprise. MN choose Trae Waynes, the CB from Michigan St.

The Browns media feel that Cle will select either DeVante Parker or Danny Shelton.

Grossi wants Parker.

9:19 p.m.

Vikings have the next pick. It seems plausible that MN will choose DeVante Parker, the WR from Louisville, since the MN rookie QB last year was Bridgewater who also played at Louisville.

9:13 p.m

Commish at the podium ... Rams select Todd Gurley, the RB from Georgia. That removes that element from the Browns board. I guess this is a surprise pick. The injured Gurley went higher than expected.

9:08 p.m.

Next teams picking:

no. 10 St. Louis no. 11 Minnesota no. 12 Cleveland

Hammer thinks the Browns will take Danny Shelton the DT from Washington with the no. 12 pick.

9:07 p.m.

Commish announced the Giants with the no. 9 pick selected Ereck Flowers the OT from Miami (FL)

9:06 p.m.

Giants pick next. Hammer said that the Rams pick is already in and it's a shocker.

9:03 p.m.

Grossi thinks that the Browns may select RB Gurley with the no. 12 pick. Gurley is still injured, but the so-called experts rate Gurley high. If he was not injured, he would have been selected in the top 5.

If the Browns select him, hopefully he's not another Trent Richardson who the Browns selected with their first round pick a few years ago, then traded him to the Colts for their second first round pick last year, and I think Trent was released from the Colts.

9:01 p.m.

Atlanta with the no. 8 pick selects Vic Beasley the OLB from Clemson. Ranked 25th on the Scouts Inc list.

8:53 p.m.

Bears at no. 7 select Kevin White the WR from West Virginia. That goes with my first round thinking. Pick the two positions that the league rules favor: QB and WR, if you need them. Good move by the Bears. QB Cutler is probably pleased.

8:49 p.m.

According to draft order, the Bears have the no. 7 pick. A lot of WR exist in the draft.

Jerod said the Jets head coach is doing cartwheels over getting L. Williams. The new Jets head coach is a defensive coach.

The new bears coach is also a defensive guy.

Will the Browns be able to draft WR DeVante Parker from Louisville? Will Cle move up to take him? What about RB Todd Gurley from Georgia?

8:47 p.m.

Commish said Jets selected L. Williams, the DE from USC.

8:46 p.m.

Hammer said that it was reported that the Jets will take L. Williams, and it was reported that TN will NOT trade Mariota.

Will the vaunted Zach M want out at TN?

Will Kelly claim that he never pursued Mariota?

8:45 p.m.

No selection yet. Hammer thinks the Jets are trying to deal the pick with another team. Only seconds left.

Apparently, the TV is showing L. Williams on the phone.

Hammer said that the RapSheet reported that some teams flagged Williams with the injury.

8:43 p.m.

The Jets have the no. 6 pick. No scuttlebut about anyone dealing with the Jets.

Jerod loves the Wash pick because RGIII needs protection. Problem is RGIII gets hurt when he runs the ball beyond the line of scrimmage.

8:41 p.m.

Hammer said that Williams is dropping in the draft because teams have flagged L. Williams with a shoulder injury. Torn something. Williams was expected to go within the top 5. I wonder if Cle had this injury info.

8:39 p.m.

Crowd still booing commish.

Wash selected Brandon Scherff, OT from Iowa. Maybe the best o-lineman in the draft. He was rated the 6th best player in the draft by Scouts Inc.

8:38 p.m.

Pick is in. Apparently, Wash will keep the pick. No deal with Cle or any other team. Maybe Wash asked for too much. Maybe Farmer showed restraint. Or maybe Cle was never interested, but it seemed that multiple sources said Cle wanted the no. 5 pick.

8:34 p.m.

Oak selected Amari Cooper, the WR from Alabama.

8:32 p.m.

Hammer said that Oak will take Alabama WR Cooper.

Why do the Browns year after year think that they have to wheel and deal to move up and down in the first round to snag players?

As others have suggested: "Let the draft come to you."

Stay pat, and pick the best player on your board who is available for that pick.

8:30 p.m.

If the Browns deal to get L. Williams at no. 5, then Grossi said that Williams would play every down. Therefore, the expectation is that Williams would be expected to walk in and start. I think that's what people expected of Gilbert last year.

8:28 p.m.

Commish announced that Jax will take Dante Fowler, the DE from Florida.

Grossi thinks that Oakland with the 4th pick will take a WR and not Leonard. If that happens, then multiple teams will try to deal with Wash to obtain Leonard.

Hammer said that Leonard is overrated at no. 5.

8:26 p.m.

According to Rizzo, sources say the Browns may move up to no. 5, probably to take Leonard Williams, the DE from USC. This will deal will have to be made with Washington.

Grossi said it will cost the Browns their second round pick, which is the no. 43 pick overall.

8:21 p.m.

TN selects Mariota.

8:16 p.m.

Hammer reported that someone reported that TN will keep the no. 2 pick.

Hammer also said that Titans QB Zach Mettenberger asked to be traded if TN acquired Mariota. Zach was 0-5 last year as a starter.

TB rejected the Philly deal which included two no. 1s, Bradford, and something else.

I wonder how Bradford feels about all this. I'm sure he's looking forward to playing for the Eagles.

But I'm guessing that Philly is not done in trying to acquire Mariota.

8:12 p.m.

Commish at podium. Crowd booing. Must be a fad-thing now.

TB selects Winston.

Now the interesting time begins. I'm guessing TN will select Mariota, and then the horsetrading will occur maybe yet tonight or after this weekend's draft.

It's seems that Kelly is crazy over acquiring Mariota.

8:09 p.m.

Rizzo reminded the radio audience that Mariota was Ray Farmer's "guy" a year ago.

8:05 p.m.

The crowd in Chicago is booing someone (it was the commish) who is now speaking. I'm listening to AMM 850 WKNR over the internet. The station switched to the main ESPN radio feed for the commish's opening remarks.

TB is on the clock.

It's the first time in decades that the draft is hosted in Chicago.

I thought that a team only had five minutes to decide once "on the clock," but Rizzo said 10 minutes.

8:03 p.m.

1 min and 20 sec until draft begins.

Another possibility is that TN drafts Mariota tonight, and Philly makes a trade with TN to acquire Mariota after the draft.

It may not be over for Philly.

8:02 p.m.

Philly and Chicago are somehow working a deal, so that Philly can get to the no. 2. Wow.

7:58 p.m.

ESPN reported that TB will keep their no. 1 pick, and the Bucs will choose Winston.

Poor Kelly and Philly. They may have to keep Bradford. Then Kelly/Philly will claim that they never had an interest in moving up to take Mariota that the chatter was all rumors.

7:54 p.m.

Apparently, the Browns offered their no. 12 and no. 19 picks to TN again. The Browns refuse to add their no. 43 pick to the deal.

Draft starts at 8:00 p.m. I guess the Browns, at this point, are not flinching. That's good.

Grossi said the national media now believe that the Browns will not go after Mariota.

7:16 p.m.

Mariota is at home in Hawaii, holding a draft party with family and friends. It was reported that someone or some people were chanting, "Anywhere but Cleveland."

Cleveland has earned this rep. Bradford does not want to play here. Over the past couple years, coaches have not been interested in coming to Cleveland.

Even if Mariota was not involved in the chant, fans, players, and coaches have the perception that Cleveland is a terrible franchise.

But it's more real than only a perception. Cleveland's history since returning in 1999 shows major instability. It's understandable why people shun the Browns.

7:14 p.m.

Jerod is no fan of Winston. Apparently, at Winston's home, they have a red carpet rolled out, which could be an ESPN thing. And a billboard-sized sign contains an image of Winston. Hammer said that Winston's number one fan is Winston. It's showtime for Winston. This kid won't be shy and restrained.

7:12 p.m.

Jerod said the Browns should play the first round smart and not safe.

7:06 p.m.

Grossi's sources say that the Browns will stay pat at 12 and 19 or be boring tonight. That sounds good to me.

7:02 p.m.

Allegedly, the Eagles are trying to deal with Tampa Bay, since TN is asking too much. Maybe it's also because SD will keep Rivers, and maybe also because the Browns have no interest in Bradford.

But according to Rizzo's sources from New York, the Browns' attempt to get Bradford is a real thing. Jerod Cherry said that's crazy.

WaPo tweeted that Cleveland will end the night with a QB. It will either be Bradford or Mariota. Only the first round will occur tonight.

Jerod said that Manziel has no trade value.

It would be stunningly stupid for Cleveland to obtain Bradford who does not want to play in Cleveland. If Cle obtained Bradford, then the "Dumpster Fire" tag should be assigned indefinitely to the Browns.

5:55 p.m.

A few years ago, Washington surrendered three number one picks and one number two pick to move up and draft RGIII.

Unless TN gets desperate as the selection time gets down to minutes, then I can't imagine Cle making a deal to obtain Mariota. And it makes zero sense to acquire Bradford.

5:41 p.m.

This could be the draft that gets Kelly either fired in a couple years or into the playoffs on a regular basis, like Andy Reid did with Donovan McNabb.

"It would require the Eagles to strike a deal with the Browns, which would send Bradford to Cleveland and the 12th pick to Tennessee. Presumably, the Eagles would have to give up even more to Cleveland — and possibly would have to assume the contract of quarterback Johnny Manziel."

"Multiple reports have said that Bradford would not be willing to sign a new contract with the Browns, which raises questions about whether it would really make any sense for the Browns to trade for him."

If Browns GM Ray Farmer is smart, he'll pass on Bradford, and he'll pass on the Titans' demands. Stay at 12 and 19. Small moves up or down, at most.

Take a defensive lineman and wide receiver with the two first round picks. Doesn't matter which position is taken when. For the DL, edge rusher or interior? Cleveland needs help to stop the rush, so probably interior.

5:36 p.m.

Heard on WKNR that San Diego told Rivers that he will not be traded. That implies that SD is out of any deal with TN and Philly.
