NWS Alerts Atom Feeds

For watches, warnings, and advisories.

Unfortunately, this atom feed config does not contain info about Hazardous Weather Outlooks, Short Term Forecasts, etc. For these useful statements, the custom XML file generated by the NWS for each county or zone must be processed.

I wish the NWS would simplify this even more, like the way the SPC does with their mesoscale discussions.

Ohio County Codes

Ohio zone code for each county

County Name - County Code - Zone Code

I don't know why county codes and a county zone codes exist. I think the county codes are used for warnings and county zone codes are used for watches and advisories, but if each county has its own zone code, then why have a separate code for each county. Confusing.

At the moment, I probably should use the county code feed (OHC...) for each county. This will include both watches and warnings that cover the county.
