Storms exist in northeast Indiana, but it will be a while before they reach our area, if they do.
If it's a weather issue, then it must be the heat and humidity. Late this afternoon, our temps warmed into the upper 80s, and our dew point temps were in the mid 70s, producing heat index values at or near 100 degrees.
And that was out at the airports. It might be a bit more uncomfortable downtown in the concrete and asphalt jungle.
It's only a three-day thing. It cools off on Monday, and temps remain at or below normal all next week.
The food truck festival will be held tomorrow (Sat, Jul 18) at the Collingwood Arts Center from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. That will be toasty with forecast temps in the low 90s and heat index values over 100 degrees.
Only five months ago (Feb 20), TOL recorded an air temp of minus-19, so it could be worse.
