The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued a
- Flash Flood Warning for...
northern Paulding County in west central Ohio...
northern Putnam County in west central Ohio...
southeastern Henry County in northwestern Ohio...
southern Defiance County in northwestern Ohio...
- until 545 PM EDT
- at 243 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated an area of thunderstorms
persisting over the same locations. Radar estimates that 1 to
locally over 2 inches of rain has fallen in the past hour across
the warning area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. An
additional inch of rain or more may fall in the area through 4 PM
EDT.

the Flood Warning has been extended for
the Maumee River at Napoleon
* from Monday evening to Tuesday evening.
* At 7 am Sunday the stage was 7.1 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near flood stage around 8 PM
Monday July 20.
* At 12.0 feet... flooding of farm land and possibly some secondary
roads near the river begins.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.3 feet which occurred
on Apr 28 2011.

the Flood Warning has been extended for
the Maumee River near Defiance
* from Monday morning to late Tuesday night.
* At 10 am Sunday the stage was 8.9 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage Monday morning
and crest near 10.3 feet around 8 PM Monday July 20 and fall below
flood stage around 5 am Tuesday July 21.
* At 10.0 feet... flooding occurs in Kingsbury and Pontiac Parks.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.2 feet which occurred
on Apr 7 2009.

... An area of strong thunderstorms will affect northern
Paulding... northern Putnam... southeastern Henry and southeastern
Defiance counties...
At 214 PM EDT... NWS Doppler radar indicated several thunderstorms
developing and expanding eastward across portions of
Putnam... Henry... Defiance and Paulding counties. These storms were
moving east at 40 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm. In addition... torrential rainfall is likely to accompany
these storms with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible
with the stronger storms.

Hamler... Cecil... Belmore... New Bavaria... North Creek... Gallup...
Wisterman... Prentiss... Ayersville... Charloe... Standley... Arthur...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
These storms may intensify... so be certain to monitor local radio
and TV stations... as well as local cable TV outlets... for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
