What's interesting to me is how sheltered I can be. Until this thread, I never heard of Hickey.

I live in the Toledo Public School district, but I think that our West Toledo home resides very near the border of Washington Township or whatever it's called. I see WLS signs in yards when I walk a couple blocks to the north.

I suppose that I should read a history book about Toledo.

Washington Local Schools Superintendent Patrick Hickey will be back on the job Thursday after receiving a letter of reprimand today from board members.

The letter, which was announced during a school board meeting late this afternoon, is for unprofessional conduct with staff. He was told to avoid appearance of impropriety with staff.

In a statement, Mr. Hickey said the matter does not involve students, theft, or dishonesty, or anything romantic or sexual in nature.

Board members had told Mr. Hickey not to come to district grounds in recent weeks.
