"since I couldn't "like " it, I just posted " Bravo !" instead."

That's sort of the reason why I removed the plus-sign or the "Like" link.

I have never liked the "Like" feature nor any other such shortcut. In my opinion, it's a bad design because it's a mentally lazy way to express a thought.

Others would argue that it's a great design because it's a quick and easy way to express something, especially on phones. The "Like" link would replace a bunch of users posting single word posts that say "Bravo".

But I still prefer words. This site is still focused on text. We can be lazy elsewhere on the internet.

Sometimes a good design is NOT making something easy for users.

foodie88, I liked your comment by cheating.

At the moment, you can still "Like" a comment the hard way by clicking the pound sign permalink for a comment to acquire the comment ID, which follows the pound sign in your URL. Then in the URL, replace the word "article" with "like", followed by the forward slash and the comment ID.

I don't expect anyone to do that, and besides, I'll probably remove the function from the code. For the moment, the plus sign "Like" link is simply commented out from the HTML.
