The fall season is a week past the halfway point, and so far it has been on the dry side.

For September, TOL recorded 1.28 inches of precip. Ave for September is 2.78 in.

Thu far, October has been even drier.

Through the first 22 days of October, TOL has recorded only 0.35 inches of precip. Ave through Oct 22 is 1.87 inches. Ave for the month is 2.60 inches.

If TOL records under 0.70 inches of precip for the month, then October 2015 will make the Top 10 list for driest Toledo Octobers.

We have a chance for thunderstorms on Saturday and Saturday night that could give us a few tenths of rainfall.

Saturday: A chance of showers before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1pm and 4pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 70. South wind 9 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 9pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9pm and 1am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 48. West wind 11 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

It appears that we could receive most of our rainfall for the month over the final few days of October. JustaSooner would be better at providing the long-range Halloween forecasts.

Currently, the NWS forecasts the following for Fri, Oct 30:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 49.

The remnants of hurricane Patricia and whatever else it gets mixed up with could bring a little wet weather to Toledo on Wed-Thu, Oct 28-29.

Current NWS forecast for mid next week:

Tuesday Night: Showers likely after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 60. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

TOL might still record below normal precip for October, but this month may not be dry enough to make the record books.
