Nov 2015 notes
Mon, Nov 16
While I painted some bare-wood areas along west side of garage, I saw a Mourning Cloak butterfly zip by me from the south edge of our yard. It flew north over our backyard about head-high. I also heard a WTSP.
Tue, Nov 17
At least 6 to 8 SCJU and 1 WTSP foraged on our backyard. Junco numbers are slowly increasing. The WTSP was around last week. I assume that it's the same bird.
Wed, Nov 18
Toledo temps around 7:00 a.m. were in the low 60s !!! Normal high temp for this date is 50 degrees.
This will be the fourth straight day with temps in the 60s. It cools off tomorrow. We may see about an inch of snow this weekend, which will be our first snowfall and our first measurable snowfall of the season.
We still have a Black-eyed Susan plant blooming in our bed along the south foundation of our house. It has three or four blooming flowers. And yesterday, I noticed that it has two more blooms yet to open. We dip into the 20s this weekend. I should pick the plant.
My garden is still producing green beans and peppers. And sorrel. I'll probably pick everything either today or tomorrow.
