Apr 30, 2016 - Toledo Blade - Taxpayers footing bill for the city’s billing error

The city of Toledo is reprinting and mailing nearly 1,700 water bills after a snafu led to some customers not getting bills.

An unknown number of residents did not receive their regular quarterly water and sewer bills from the city, but they did get a warning letter asking them to pay up after the city didn’t get its money.

Mr. Wandersee said he could not get a straight answer about his missing bill after spending 15 minutes on the phone Wednesday with a city utility department employee.
