From the Blade story:

The Head Shed, a local business with a 43-year history as a leading “counterculture” shop, is opening a fifth location in South Toledo.

Three of The Head Shed’s other locations are in the Toledo area, and have not received excessive criminal complaints.

A quote by Toledo city councilman Rob Ludeman:

"It’s not a use that I think is appropriate but, governmentally, I’m not sure what can be done,"

Located opposite from the proposed Head Shed location and on the same side of the street as Harvard Elementary is Wixey Bakery.

Wixey Bakery is more conveniently located to the children than the proposed Head Shed store.

Excerpts from a January 2017 Toledo Blade op-ed

But on the right, Mr. Oostra said, is metro Toledo: poverty and mental health problems, 70 percent of adults overweight, and the highest infant mortality rate in Ohio.

Where's the concern about Toledo's obesity problem?

If Toledo city council truly cared about the children's futures, then council would force the closure of all fatty food places.
