...heavy rain is possible thursday into friday...

.low pressure will strengthen in the mississippi valley overnight
as it moves to western kentucky by morning. the low will continue
to move slowly northeast across ohio thursday night and into
pennsylvania on friday. deep moisture will move into the area
ahead of the low overrunning a warm front that will stall across
northwest ohio. heavy rain will develop as this moistures moves
over the warm front and the low draws closer.

...flood watch remains in effect from 8 am edt thursday through
late friday night...

the flood watch continues for

• portions of north central ohio and northwest ohio, including
  the following areas, in north central ohio, crawford, erie,
  huron, lorain, and marion. in northwest ohio, hancock, lucas,
  ottawa, sandusky, seneca, wood, and wyandot.

• from 8 am edt thursday through late friday night

• there is a potential for heavy rain across northwest ohio
  thursday through friday with total accumulations possibly
  reaching up to 3 inches. with rivers already running high and
  the ground nearly saturated from previous rains flooding will
  be possible.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a flood watch is issued when there is a potential for flooding.
monitor the forecast and remain alert for possible flood
warnings. those in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to
take action should a flood warning be issued or if flooding
develops.
