... Lakeshore flood advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this
evening...

  • Lakeshore flooding... gusty east wind will produce high waves
    and elevated water level during late afternoon into early
    evening along the shoreline of Lake Erie and mouth of the
    Detroit River.
  • Water levels... readings at 330 PM ranged from 71 inches at
    Toledo to 64 inches at Gibraltar. These levels are expected to
    continue falling slowly on average through the late afternoon.
  • Impacts... minor flooding is expected along the shoreline of
    Monroe County and Wayne County up to areas along the mouth of
    the Detroit River.

    near lake erie due to high lake water levels in western lake
    erie. persistent east winds and high lake water levels will
    result in water levels much higher than normal and flooding.
  • flooding impacts...flooding may inundate low lying roads and
