June 2013 Medium.com post Why I Don’t Check Facebook Till 6PM - Systems over Discipline

These are the author's guidelines or “efficiency rules” to increase productivity.

  • Only check e-mails between 11AM - 12PM, and 3PM - 4PM.
  • My cell phone stays facedown in my drawer until those previously mentioned intervals as well.
  • No 9GAG or Reddit till 8PM.
  • No Facebook till 6PM.
  • Make a list of 2-3 items that must get done by the end of the day. Try to finish them by noon.
