Fri, Jan 9, 2015 Weather
Fri, Jan 9, 2015 - The sky dawned mostly clear. It was still breezy. It appeared to have snowed a little more, since I measured last night at 10:44 p.m. I'm guessing that around 2.0 to 2.25 inches of snow fell over West Toledo during the 12-hour period from about 6:00 p.m. yesterday evening to 6:00 a.m. today. The wind and blowing snow made it tough to determine total accumulation.
It's a dry, powdery, granular snow. Easy to toss aside. I was outside from about 7:20 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. I shoveled paths in the backyard to scatter millet for the juncos, shoveled the entire driveway from the front of the house to the street, shoveled our walks and some of the walkways of our neighbors. I warmed and cleaned off the car. I scattered some cheap table salt on our sidewalk.
It was nice to be outside. I like the crisp, cool air, and the soft snow, and the morning light rising with a dry clear sky.
I was bundled up well. I like wool. At 8:36 a.m., the WTWS reported 13 degrees.
