June 2015 Rainfall

For my rain gauge at our home in West Toledo.

The rain caused widespread flooding also put the month into fourth place for all-time June rainfall, at 7.22 inches.

That’s 3.65 inches above normal for June, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland. Toledo’s June record is 8.48 inches, which was set in 1981.

My Rain Gauge

  • Jun 30 = 0.10
  • Jun 27 = 3.84
  • Jun 25 = 0.30
  • Jun 23 = 0.20
  • Jun 20 = 0.12
  • Jun 18 = 0.51
  • Jun 16 = 0.30
  • Jun 15 = 0.80
  • Jun 13 = 0.61
  • Jun 10 = 0.10
  • Jun 8 = 1.07
  • Jun 5 = 0.20

Total = 8.15 inches.

It rained on at least 15 days. Some of the above totals included rain that began late on the night before.

  • May 31 = 0.89
  • May 30 = 0.19
  • May 27 = 0.38
  • May 26 = 0.17
  • May 17 = 0.42
    • sub-total = 2.05 inches
  • May 11 = 0.10
  • May 10 = 0.15
  • May 9 = 0.50
  • May 4 = 0.10
    • sub-total = 0.85
      • May grand total = 2.9 inches, which may be a little below normal


June + since May 17 = 10.2 inches
