Owner pays $1.2 million, and preservationists sign a petition.

"In late December, it was first reported that the historic Fuller mansion in Perrysburg township had been sold, and news had leaked out that they anonymous buyer planned to tear it down. Less than a month later, it's gone."

I admire the hustle. That's someone you want in charge of a business. Obviously, a government org didn't buy it.

"... some have said definitively that the buyer is the new CEO of the Andersons"

Can I still safely shop at The Andersons store on Talmadge or will the Facebook mob harass me?

"The 14-room, five-bath, two-story mansion estate was built in 1923 ..."

I had no idea that 1923 was considered old or historical. Wouldn't that mean that a good number of homes in Toledo could be considered "historical"?

July 2015 Blade story

An arson fire destroyed two structures and caused some damage to a neighboring residence on Federal Street near Nevada Street in East Toledo.

... the two-story wood frame house at 623 Federal, which was built in 1902, ...

... the two-story wood frame duplex at 625 Federal, which was built in 1907.

The two-story wood frame house at 631 Federal was built in 1902.

Last November, the Lucas County LandBank said that 4,000 homes need to be demolished in Toledo. A few of those are probably historical.
