Flood Watch for Monroe County - Apr 10 to Apr 12, 2013

Nearly all of southern Michigan is under a flood watch. Michigan received a good bit of rain on Monday and/or Tuesday.

As of today, Wednesday morning, April 10, very little rain has fallen in Toledo this week. The 7:50 a.m. radar shows scattered cells in northwest Ohio, approaching Lucas County and in northern half of Indiana and northern Illinois.

.a frontal boundary extending north into southeast michigan will
maintain a favorable environment for shower and thunderstorm
development through thursday night. several rounds of heavy
rainfall are expected to move through the region during this time.
this will bring the potential for several inches of rainfall to
occur across portions of the area. this amount of rainfall will
lead to rapid rises on area rivers and streams and bring the
potential for localized flooding of some urban...low lying and
poor drainage areas.

• flood watch for a portion of southeast michigan...including
  the following areas...bay...genesee...huron...lapeer...
  lenawee...livingston...macomb...midland...monroe...oakland...
  saginaw...sanilac...shiawassee...st. clair...tuscola...
  washtenaw and wayne.

• from 2 pm edt this afternoon through friday morning

• several rounds of heavy rainfall will result in additional
  rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches through thursday night.

• flooding of lowland...poor drainage areas...urban areas...
  rivers and streams.
