December 2013 Knitting and Crochet Classes
You recently signed up asking for information about classes at Michael's craft store. I teach at the Monroe & Talmadge locations with classes currently scheduled on Mondays, 9:30am- 12pm & 6-8:30pm. Classes are $25 each. I recommend signing up with a friend to ensure that the class meets the minimum of 2 students per class. (If there is only one student, I have to cancel the class, but I will call and work with you to reschedule).
Our next class is the Beginner Crochet class (Single Crochet) Monday Nov. 25. For all crochet classes, I recommend purchasing Susan Bates brand crochet hooks as they have a better hook for catching the yarn and thus making the process a lot smoother.
I also recommend Vanna's Choice, Impeccable, and Sugar n' Cream yarns for beginners as they are easy to work with and come in lots of fun colors. And don't forget to use your Michael's 40% off coupon which you can find in the Sunday ads or online: http://weeklyad.michaels.com/
December classes are Mondays:
Dec. 2 - Knit 1 9:30am - 12pm & 6 - 8:30pm
Dec. 9 - Crochet 1: Single Crochet 9:30am - 12pm & 6 - 8:30pm
Dec. 16 - Knit 2: Purl Stitch 9:30am - 12pm & 6 - 8:30pm
Dec. 23 - Crochet 2: Tall Stitches 9:30am - 12pm & 6 - 8:30pm
This Saturday, Nov. 23, from 3-8pm is our next Yarn Night where you can bring your current projects to work on in the company of other like-minded friends and have any questions you might have, answered. Sometimes we bring snacks or finger foods to share (cookies, finger sandwiches, etc) as it can be a long afternoon spanning over dinner time. If you are interested in attending the Yarn Night, it is only $5 which you can pay that day when you arrive (simply pay at the register before heading back to the classroom).
The following Yarn Night is Dec. 14, 3-8pm.
For all classes, you can sign up in person at the store, 4622 Talmadge Rd., or online (make sure you select the Talmadge store to get the correct schedule): https://classes.michaels.com/OnlineClasses/control/dateView?categoryId=1003
You can also call the store for more information: (419) 475-4296
or you can reply to this email and I will answer any questions you have to the best of my ability.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
