Hilarious so-called savings from turnpike electronic tolling

"In Ohio, it saves you up to 50% ..."
When Ohio implemented electronic tolling back in 2009 or so, the turnpike commission increased the cash fare rate by over 45 percent. I guess that lot of overhead exists in managing electronic tolling. The so-called savings with the E-ZPass was paying the old price, approximately. I think that math-wise, it's still that way.
It was hilarious when Indiana did the same thing on its turnpike last decade. The IN turnpike cash fare jumped dramatically when the i-Zoom was introduced. The savings from the i-Zoom was basically the old fare rate of the day before.
