I admire the successful traveling snake oil salesmen and women. They found niches to exploit for profit without caring for their perceived mission because great marketers can easily bamboozle the rubes. That's either talent or an acquired skill. And if it's not agreeable, it's at least admirable.
I have no problem with someone making a buck. That's why it was hypocritical for the government to shutdown or harass alleged psychic Miss Cleo. You probably remember her TV commercials, 'Call me now!'

Deceptive advertising? Isn't that redundant? I thought advertising was about deception.
If deceptive advertising was a real problem, then TV would be nearly ad-free, the cable news networks would have to shutdown, and politicians could not advertise during elections.
