What is the Phoenix Co-op?

A cooperative is a not-for-profit business, owned and operated by its members. It is democratically run and is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership. Each membership has one vote.

Membership Information

Annual Membership Rates

  • $36 per household
  • $12 fixed, limited income

[It's not required to become a member to shop at the Phoenix Earth Food Co-op.]

We Carry

  • Fresh organic and local produce
  • Organic, bulk beans, grains, pastas and flours
  • Dried unsulphered fruits and nuts
  • Free range, local and organic eggs
  • rBGH-free, local and organic dairy products
  • Cold-pressed oils, some in bulk
  • Maple syrup, barley malt, molasses and honey
  • Dairy- and wheat-free foods for the allergic
  • Organic, bulk herbs and spices
  • Fairly traded coffees and teas
  • Bulk peanut and nut butters
  • Frozen entrees, organic fruits and vegetables, organic meats and meat substitutes
  • Vitamins and supplements.

Preferences will be given to products produced with the least human, animal, and environmental impact.

Education

Workshops, classes (cooking, gardening, etc.), seminars and school presentations will be held regularly for the benefit of Co-op members and the community.

Info on product origin, production techniques, and recipes are available in the store.

Bulk Foods

Utilize reusable containers to cut down on packaging waste (peanut butter, oils and honey in your jar).
