area forecast discussion

the storm prediction center has placed much of the area in a marginal threat for severe storms. this will be conditional of course on thunderstorm initiation occurring and even then expect only an isolated threat of a severe storm.

hazardous weather outlook

there is a low chance of thunderstorms associated with a weak front moving through the area late this afternoon into this evening. a few of the thunderstorms could be strong and approach severe levels with wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph.
