2015 Toledo Express Airport (TOL) rainfall info.

TL;DR : Well-above normal rainfall occurred in May, June, and July while below normal rainfall occurred in August, September, October, and for the first 16 days of November. In late June, our rivers and streams would have appeared significantly higher (late winter/early spring levels) compared to now.

In May, TOL recorded 4.25 inches of rainfall. Average is 3.58 inches.

For June, TOL recorded 7.22 inches of rain, which put the month into fourth place for all-time June rainfall. Toledo record-keeping began in the 1870s. Average rainfall for June at TOL is 3.57 inches.

From May 30 through July 14, my rain gauge in West Toledo recorded 12.23 inches of rainfall. TOL averages around 36 inches of total liquid precip for the year.

In July, TOL recorded 6.16 inches of rainfall. Average is 3.23 inches.

TOL recorded over 13 inches of rainfall for the first two months of summer when average is under 7 inches.

It's an understatement to say that In early July, it was unusually soggy around here. A local farmer told me about the difficulties of planting some crops in the early summer.

But that same farmer also told me that it has been a banner fall for other crops.

For the past three months, rainfall has ended a little below normal at TOL. October was headed into the record books as one of the all-time driest Octobers until the final few days of the month when most of the rain fell.

August: 3.05 inches of actual rainfall. Average is 3.15 inches.

September: 1.28 inches of actual rainfall. Average is 2.78 inches.

October: 2.17 inches of actual rainfall. 1.45 inches fell across Oct 27-28. Average for the month is 2.60 inches.

And now through the first half of November, TOL is well-below normal for precip.

Through Nov 16, TOL has recorded 0.45 inches of precip. Average through the 16th is 1.48 inches.

The winter outlook predicts slightly below normal precip totals for the Toledo region.
