there is a chance of thunderstorms in northwest ohio this afternoon, expanding to all areas overnight.

if thunderstorms develop in northwest ohio, there is the potential for a few storms to approach severe limits late this afternoon into this evening. strong winds will be the primary threat with gusts of 45 to 60 mph possible.

a chance of thunderstorms will continue on thursday and increase thursday night through friday night ahead of a trough moving into the region.

a few strong thunderstorms will be possible late thursday as a warm front lifts north.

the storm prediction center has highlighted the area with a slight risk for severe thunderstorms on friday.
