We left home around 9:00 a.m. and returned home around 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. Another fine day visiting and shopping at local businesses.

  • Toledo Farmers Market
    • bread
    • coffee beans
    • apples
    • salad greens
    • and maybe one or two other items
  • Black Kite Coffee
    • we shared two dishes: french toast with cherries and real whipped cream and a polenta dish that also contained a fried egg, grilled portabella, tomato, spinach, fresh basil, mozzarella, and tasty balsamic reduction
  • Titgemeier's
    • bought a 50-pound bag of white millet
    • we surveyed the beer-making supplies
  • Yarn Envy
    • nice yarn shop
    • our first visit
    • at least a dozen people hanging out knitting with a couple possibly taking a class
    • large yarn selection
    • located in Ottawa Lake, Michigan
    • north on Secor Rd
    • left or west on Stearns Rd a mile or two
    • we bought some yarn
  • Yarn Company
    • small yarn shop
    • located on Secor Rd between Sylvania and Laskey
    • browsed and spoke with the owner who provides free lessons on Saturdays until June. She's closed on Saturdays in the summer.
    • I went back and bought yarn on Mon, Mar 17.
