Reading through this Toledo Talk post from October 2007 titled Reporting on the San Diego County fires, saw this section Network News in a Box and found this unused open, wiki https://newsinabox.jottit.com/. That wiki's home page was munged, but it was easily reverted back to a former, valid state. Now saving some of those page here. It was interesting info in the fall of 2007.

Aug 30, 2009 Update: This is a mish-mash of thoughts from a couple e-mails. It will take me a while to expand and organize this info, so I see no point in reading this now.

We [my Dad and I] caught some small saugers below the Hannibal Dam on Dec 10, 2006, mainly on 1/6 oz jig and a three-inch, white and black curly-tailed grub. A Chartruese grub also caught a couple. Slow retrieve along the bottom. Water was low and hardly moving. We fished from 4:45 to 7:00 p.m. Weather was still comfortable after dusk, with temps around 40 and winds light. Observed river levels as of 7:00 p.m. Dec 11, 2006: Pike Island 13.5, Hannibal 12.6. No change is forecast for 7:00 a.m. Dec 12. So the water levels on Dec 10 were probably about what they are on the 11th.

About 9:30 p.m. [Sunday], Toledo police officers and firefighters were preparing to escort the bodies of the fallen heroes to the coroner's office.

Dr. Maneesha Pandey, a Lucas County deputy coroner, said autopsies are scheduled for today.
