More site owners are offending the web with their effed-up, bloated javascript-heavy constructions.

Some thoughts on the subject of mobile web use from a Yahoo! employee.

I visited Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge late on Saturday afternoon, October 25, 2014. The weather was sunny, windy, and warmish with temps near 70 degrees. The fall foliage looked nice.

On Sun, Oct 19, 2014, DD and I visited the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, located in or near Perrysburg, along the river road that connects Perrysburg to Rossford.

I walked Barney in the morning. We shopped at Steinmart in Westgate. We shopped at the Toledo Farmers Market. We ate lunch at the Glass City Cafe. We bought two small items at Adams Street Antiques, Art, & Collectibles. We visited the newly-opened small store on Dorr Street called Beads & Books. We relaxed in the afternoon. In the evening, I watched an entertaining college football game between Notre Dame and Florida State.

On Saturday evening, October 4, 2014, DD used a pressure canner/cooker to can Italian green beans that we bought that morning at the Toledo farmers market. She used the 'raw pack method.'

Toledo morning temps started out in the mid to upper 30s. It turned out to be a sunny, comfy fall afternoon. After shopping downtown at the Toledo farmers market, DD and I drove east of Oregon to visit Fleitz Pumpkin Farm. It was our first visit in a number of years. We visited this place often when CP was little.

Winning at what, exactly? And why do some hardcore geeks worry about whether silos are winning, losing, or whatever? The masses don't care. The masses only want something fun and easy to use. They want to relish in the moment.

Sunday afternoon and evening, I shucked corn and grilled corn, peppers, and onions. DD did the rest, which was a lot: preparing jars, slicing and roasting tomatoes, mixing, cooking, canning, etc. The final product was 29 pint jars of corn salsa. One casualty. A jar with contents broke at the end.

Since the league expanded its playoff field to 12 teams in 1990, 0-2 starts have virtually proven a mortal blow to playoff hopes. Only 11.6% of teams in that span have recovered from 0-2 to reach postseason.
